Burning a flame

Today I looked at my candles with a different feel. I picked up my camera for the first time today. As I started walking a little without my canes. I walked around the units where I live without my canes and taking pictures of the flowers and my personal belongings. I was so thrilled.IMG_0020
I burn a flame
This morning
Tested many times
Is the flame of life
Joy burns like a fever
Inside us
Agonies burn like emotions spent
From the inside out

Life’s blessings gained and lost
Burn’s the flame of life
Evolving daily
Among a world
Where some take but not give
But there is always
Unending faith

Through the storms of life
That have come and gone
Strength, hope,faith, survives
Like a new day dawns

Healing takes times
The flame of life burns
Daily, glowing
I feel, now a smile each day
Sometimes the night is empty
Yet the night gives you shelter

Trying not to let the flame
Burn down
Holding onto the day
We are wrapped up
In the shelter of the flame
Where we are protected

This Springtime

Tonight this is purely fiction, I have felt so heavy since returning home. It has taken me a while to get into a lighter mood. I so wanted to write something cheerful. I finally got there.

We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
Springtime arrived early
Flowers bursting forth like champagne bubbles
Arriving sooner than expected
Perfected as the dreams of a young romance
To happy for my sparrow’s chance

We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
As birds chirp, returning home one more time
No-one could replay it for a second time
Perfected as the dreams of a young romance
We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
The high country with the melting snow
Spring had come early
Amongst the garden of universal delights
Delighting us as we stood together
Entwined
We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
Romance of flowers blooming
Perfume melting our hearts
There was a symphony of perfume
Dancing, romancing, in the breeze
Springtime shines with a beauty within
A gentle reminder

We stood on the hill top

We stood entwined together

This Springtime
Winter has said farewell
We shed our silky cocoon
As we are overcome with feelings
Of Springtime, spring fever
Romance the age of abundance
Love for another
As we stood on the hill top
Entwined together, flowers bursting forth like champagne bubbles
This spring time, romance the age of abundance

Something that is remembered

I’ve written this form experience of how trauma can affect your life, I know it has affect mine in a big way over the years. Some things you may want to remember, but you can not, because trauma has got in the and engulfed your life.

——————————————————————————————————————————-

Something that is remembered
Search as you will, the memory was lost
Sometimes they can be a secret pain
Exerting much energy, exhausting
Each and every breath you need
How, why, where, or when
The who, you may want to forget
But you realise, the who is the one
You can only forgive
Be confident accept as true, or,
Be confident accept as false
Know you have told the truth
I know I have told the truth
There is a peace you need to keep
Forever long you need to keep
Memories of doubts and fears
I am convinced there is a need to be silent
I see, hear, and am silent
I bestow the proof and honour your privacy
When I am too old to speak or weak, I have forgotten
The I shall say,????
Today Once I have comprehended matters
The thunder of the truth
The lightening that clashes with the thunder
Of the truth untold
Will echo about the sky
Those that judge, will be hushed
Against the chill of the sky
Something that is remembered
Search as you will, the memory was lost
Sometimes they can be a secret pain
Exerting much energy, exhausting
Each and every breath you need
Should not be needed to remember, a memory that was once lost.
