“Trust in another”

This is fiction to a degree, loosely based on real life. Trust in another is great but when you loose it. It is hard to find again, you try until to can trust no more. The promises get broken so many times.

Tears fall
We will never know the trust
Nothing is going to be the same
I feel the shame that befall me
His broad clear brow in the sunlight
Gleam as I was lost in a dream

Will we ever know the trust again
Tears that fall, filling my eyes
You walked away, that broad stream
You crossed that night, never to return
A body lonely aching from the mistakes
We made, the lust you desired
I could not return, the years we lost
I could not trust again
Time after time, you vanished
Lusting after another

Tears fall, time after time
As she utters, to begin again
Time after time, the trust befalls
Another, trust broken after
Shattered by the fine line of trust

I try to let go of the shattered dreams
We were hanging on by a thread
Such a fine line, and I have made it mine
No matter were we are, I know we will never end
Till we are dust, Will I ever trust again

Aching for those lost years
Can we ever replay those years
So many lies, there was nothing left to trust

Can trust hurt so much
You suffer when you trust
Is it true that we can trust again
As trust hurts
So much, tears continue to fall

Proverbs 3:5-6New King James Version (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

  1. Yes it happened again Barb, it’s not the one I posted but it is a good message perhaps God wants us to have it or it’s just a technical error. Jesus washed us from all our Past sins so we won’t be punished for them and He also set us free from the Slavery of sin, as we see confirmed in the Scripture below.

Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; KJV

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son / daughter belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.KJV

Romans 6:22-23 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.KJV

    Blessings Barb.
