This Springtime

Tonight this is purely fiction, I have felt so heavy since returning home. It has taken me a while to get into a lighter mood. I so wanted to write something cheerful. I finally got there.

We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
Springtime arrived early
Flowers bursting forth like champagne bubbles
Arriving sooner than expected
Perfected as the dreams of a young romance
To happy for my sparrow’s chance

We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
As birds chirp, returning home one more time
No-one could replay it for a second time
Perfected as the dreams of a young romance
We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
The high country with the melting snow
Spring had come early
Amongst the garden of universal delights
Delighting us as we stood together
Entwined
We stood on the hill top
We stood entwined together
This Springtime
Romance of flowers blooming
Perfume melting our hearts
There was a symphony of perfume
Dancing, romancing, in the breeze
Springtime shines with a beauty within
A gentle reminder

We stood on the hill top

We stood entwined together

This Springtime
Winter has said farewell
We shed our silky cocoon
As we are overcome with feelings
Of Springtime, spring fever
Romance the age of abundance
Love for another
As we stood on the hill top
Entwined together, flowers bursting forth like champagne bubbles
This spring time, romance the age of abundance

  1. Springtime Barb, the season of Love which you captured so beautifully, yes Love can move a Mountain when it is motivated by Faith, perhaps not a real Mountain but a unmovable problem that nothing else can take away, maybe loneliness or the fear of rejection, emptiness or insecurity etc God’s Love can remove every grain of sand that makes up that Mountain and plant a garden where it was, that will Blossom eternally and spread it’s sweet perfume of Love.

Matthew 21:20-22 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.(KJV)

    Blessings dear friend – Anne
